Rohingya Translation Interface
A translation tool designed around Rohingya Hanifi and Rohingya Latin, connecting Rohingya to widely spoken languages online.
The Need
Rohingya is not supported by the major translation services people rely on every day. This makes information, education, and communication harder to reach.
Our Approach
We are building a Rohingya-first translation interface that combines curated dictionary data, community-reviewed sentence pairs, and AI language models.
What We're Building
A translation interface with support for Rohingya Hanifi, Rohingya Latin, English, and Burmese, plus a review workflow for community linguists.
Current Progress
Core interface complete. Initial dictionary and phrase corpus in place. Internal review of first Rohingya-English translation model underway.
Current Focus
Improving accuracy on everyday and educational phrases; expanding audio pronunciation coverage.
What's Next
Public beta, mobile experience, and open contribution flow for community reviewers.
